It is not possible to fully present contemporary democratic theory without examining the issue of political responsibility (accountability). Yet this topic has been insufficiently theorized. The political scientists Gianfranco Pasquino and Riccardo Pelizzo have sought to fill this gap with a valuable study that combines rich empirical evidence with innovative conceptual analysis.
